Validation Overview

Claim Validation - Process Description
  1. Utilize AromaTrax™ based odor profiling to prioritize the odorants emitted by the target source (i.e. cat urine on fabric, cigarette breath, cattle feedlot etc).

  2. Based upon observations and conclusions from the odor profile study, issuance of a formal proposal which restates our understanding of the elements of the proposed project including; samples, objective, experimental approach, sample submission guidelines and project price.

  3. Develop and validate an appropriate experimental odorant challenge format whereby the deodorizing product is reproducibly challenged by a synthetic blend of the highest priority ‘marker’ odorants emerging from the odor profiling study.

  4. Initiate the indicated product deodorization efficacy study incorporating the appropriate client and competitive products and controls in parallel.

  5. Tabulate the comparative deodorization efficacy results and issuance of a final report, summarizing objective, samples, procedures, results, observations, conclusions, supporting exhibits and recommendations for optional additional work, based upon the reported findings.

  6. Translation of findings into an appropriate ‘white’ paper report, technical presentation or technical poster which can be referenced for support of claims validation and marketing efforts.

The result of this process will be objective and reproducible electronic verification of differences in target odorant neutralization activity between competitive products and untreated controls. Such electronic verification, in conjunction with supporting sensory assessment makes for particularly strong support of enhanced performance marketing claims.
